Holocaust Education for the next generations is in need of a new methodology as relying on first-hand testimonies of the last survivors of the atrocities will be less and less possible in the near future.
Remember The Future aims at making Israeli, German and Polish youth ambassadors of their people’s respective narratives. Through exploring the history, effects and lessons of the Holocaust and exchanging their thoughts, their feelings and their experiences, the program ensures that the memory of the Holocaust remains alive and that the respective countries’ youths learn from each other about the other nations’ relations to that tragic historical period. This is of particular importance not only in respect to commemorating the victims of the Holocaust but also in respect to combating Holocaust denial and the growing anti-semitism in Europe and beyond.
